A small practice, kept deliberately senior.
HR Advisor Consulting Services was founded in 2015 in Kolkata to do one thing well — keep growing businesses on the right side of India's statutory HR obligations, without theatre. The practice stays small on purpose. Every file is handled by a senior consultant, and the standard is a paper trail an inspector can read.
Story
Why we started.
We started because too many otherwise excellent SMEs were being tripped up by the same thing — a missed PF challan, an out-of-date S&E licence, a P.Tax return nobody remembered was due, a contract-labour register nobody had opened in months. None of it was strategic. All of it was expensive when it caught up with them.
The practice exists so that class of problem never reaches the founder's desk. It lives in a diary, gets closed on a date, and produces a document at the end.
Standards
Four things we hold to.
The senior person is the person on the file.
There is no handoff from the pitch meeting to a junior who has never met you. The consultant you meet is the consultant who signs the work.
Deadlines are the calendar.
PF and ESIC by the 15th, P.Tax by the 21st, TDS by the 7th of the following month. We build the month backwards from those dates.
Every action ends in a document.
Nothing is done verbally. Registers, filings, letters, and returns leave a trail — one that stands up in a labour inspection and in a diligence room.
Advice comes in plain language.
Section references belong in the footnote. The recommendation belongs in the first line, in a sentence the founder can act on.
Coverage
Where we work.
The head office is in Kolkata and we work with clients across West Bengal, with regular filings in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad through our correspondent network. Payroll, PF, and ESIC are handled online end-to-end; inspection support and physical filings are handled in person where required.
